‘Botanical Observation’

CREATURES OF COMFORT, SPRING/SUMMER 2015

Fourth semester trend application project, done in connection with my AP degree at VIA Design in the beginning of 2014, where the goal is to document one’s ability to understand and adhere to the design DNA of known designers and brands.

Intrigued by Creatures of Comfort’s casual and somewhat whimsical approach to ready-to-wear fashion, I chose them as one of two brands to apply the floral trends of summer 2015 to (with the other brand being ‘Ulyana Sergeenko’).

For Creatures of Comfort’s version of the floral trend, I took inspiration from modern botanical gardens, and the little details which belong to such institutions and studies.
