‘INTU-ERA’

SPRING/SUMMER 2016

Menswear collection created in 2015 during my 6th fashion design semester at VIA Design.

Research was based in 1920’s menswear, where I found the industrial workwear of that time to be particularly intriguing - with its blue denim fabrics and white pinstripes - and so the collection ended up taking inspiration from that, but from the angle of modern streetwear.

There is a philosophic layer added to the collection, about how modern man has been conditioned into becoming an ideal worker for an industrialised consumerist society, and thus lost touch with the ability to function outside of it - as if he is sleepwalking through life.
